Camperdown Sunshine Kids is a purpose built long day care centre that caters for children between the ages of 6 weeks - 6 years.

The centres hours of operation are 7:30am to 6:00pm.

The centre is open for 51 weeks per year, except Public Holidays and over the Christmas and New Year period.

The centre is registered with the National Childcare and Accreditation Council.

All permanent staff have either a Bachelor of Teaching/Education (Early Childhood), Associate Diploma in Child Studies or vast experience in the early childhood field.

The children are separated into four rooms, according to their age and stage of development, for the majority of the day.

All rooms are staffed over the recommended staff to child ratios directed by the Children's Services Regulations 2004.

The centre provides a pre-school style programme for the 3-6 year old children. This programme reflects current research in the area of Transition to School.

The centre prides itself on children's individual documentation with families receiving a journal about their child at the end of their time with Camperdown Sunshine Kids. This journal reflects their learning over the years as well as the experiences they have taken part in. This is shown through photographs, work samples and much, much more.

The centre is well equipped with extensive resources for children of all ages and stages of development. A computer in each playroom is also available.

The centres playrooms and outdoor environment are attractive and stimulating and of the highest standard in health and safety.

The centre is air conditioned to keep the environment warm in winter and cool in summer.

All families attending the centre are entitled to the Child Care Benefit rebate which you can apply for through the Family Assistance Office.
